Orlando Pirates Deon Hotto has singled out new Kaizer Chiefs striker Tashreeq Morris as a key player ahead of the much-anticipated Soweto Derby.
Hotto, 34, has been in fine form under coach Jose Riveiro and will be a crucial figure when the Buccaneers face Amakhosi on Saturday. Speaking about Chiefs’ new signings—Morris, Glody Lilepo, and Thabo Cele—Hotto admitted that Morris, who joined from SuperSport United, has caught his eye.
“A very good one. A very hard worker,” Hotto said about Morris. “The other two, I don’t really know them, but it does change the dynamic of the approach also.”
With Pirates’ technical team analyzing the new Chiefs players, the Soweto Derby is set to be another intense battle between South Africa’s biggest clubs. The match kicks off at 15:30 at a sold-out FNB Stadium (Calabash) on Saturday.
