Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is dealing with another legal setback after his attorney, Anthony Ricco, unexpectedly stepped down from his defense team. Ricco filed a motion for withdrawal of counsel in New York on Thursday, stating that under no circumstances could he continue to effectively represent Combs.
In his motion, Ricco clarified that discussions had taken place between him, lead counsel Marc Agnifilo, and Combs prior to this decision, though he provided no specific reasons for his departure. Ricco also noted that government prosecutors had been informed of his withdrawal and did not object.
Despite the change in representation, Ricco assured that the trial schedule would not be impacted. Combs is still set to face trial in May. DailyMail.com has reached out to Ricco for further comment but has yet to receive a response.
