Cape Verde produced another stunning result at the World Cup after holding Spain to a goalless draw.

Spain controlled large parts of the match and created multiple chances, but they were repeatedly denied by a disciplined Cape Verde defence and an outstanding performance from goalkeeper Vozinha.

The 40 year old goalkeeper was once again a key figure, making crucial saves that frustrated Spain throughout the match. Despite their dominance in possession, Spain could not find a way through.

The result adds further pressure on Spain coach De la Fuente, especially with questions expected around his decision to start Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams on the bench.

For Cape Verde, this result continues a dream campaign and shows their ability to compete with the world’s best teams.
