Vincent Pule, the former winger for Orlando Pirates, has sent a heartfelt farewell message to the Buccaneers’ chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza, the coaching staff, his ex-teammates, and the club’s fans.

Pule, 32, signed a new deal with Pirates until 2025, with an option to extend last season. However, he made just 11 appearances since, starting only three games in the 2023/24 season. On Tuesday, the Sea Robbers announced Pule’s departure after six years at the club, during which he made 146 appearances, scored 23 goals, and provided 12 assists, helping the club secure five trophies.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks,” he wrote on social media.

“To the Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza, thank you for the opportunity you gave me to be part of such an amazing institution.

“To the management and technical team, your dedication, expertise, and tireless efforts behind the scenes have been nothing short of remarkable.

“To my fellow players, it has been an honor and a privilege to share the pitch with such a talented and passionate group of individuals. The bonds we have formed both on and off the field will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the memories we have created together.

“And last but certainly not least, to our loyal supporters, your unwavering dedication and support have been the backbone of this team. Your passion and enthusiasm have inspired us to push harder, aim higher, and never give up. For that, I am truly thankful.

“Thank you once again for everything, and know that I will always cherish the time we spent together.”
