Hyundai N returns to the Nürburgring Nordschleife aiming for its fourth consecutive TCR class victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours race.
NÜRBURG, Germany and SEOUL, South Korea, May 31, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Hyundai N is set to make a formidable return to the Nürburgring Nordschleife, aiming for a fourth consecutive victory in the TCR class at the Nürburgring 24 Hours (N24) race.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. Hyundai N will debut its specially equipped IONIQ 5 N TA (Time Attack) Spec at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, setting sights on Pikes Peak records alongside the IONIQ 5 N production model. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor announced plans to collaborate with Gran Turismo for Sim-Racing marketing activities.

Hyundai N will field a three-car TCR team at Nürburgring 24 Hours, featuring the ELANTRA N TCR cars. Drivers from various continents, including defending champions and Hyundai Motorsport customer drivers, will compete for victory.
The #830 crew, consisting of Mikel Azcona, Marc Basseng, and Manuel Lauck, aims to repeat their TCR-class victories from 2022 and 2023. The #831 team, supported by Bryan Herta Autosport and Hyundai Motor America, returns with drivers Mason Filippi, Harry Gottsacker, Mark Wilkins, and Bryson Morris. Meanwhile, the #832 entry for 2024 is driven by TCR China stars Martin (Hongwei) Cao, Rainey He, Andy Yan, and Zhang Zhen Dong.
Hyundai N’s participation also includes the Hyundai Driving Experience i30 Fastback N in the VT2 Front-Wheel-Drive class, aiming for another class victory.
At the N24 showcase, Hyundai Motor unveiled the IONIQ 5 N TA Spec, set to challenge records at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Equipped with advanced technology and modifications, this model aims to showcase Hyundai’s prowess in high-performance electric vehicles.
